Novel Double Mode Dual-Stator Wound Rotor Synchronous Machine for Variable Speed Applications

چکیده
This paper offers a novel dual-mode double stator wound rotor synchronous machine for variable speed applications. The proposed motor integrates the benefits of both traditional (WRSM) and brushless (BL-WRSM). A constant torque can be attained in maximum per ampere region by operating as WRSM Mode I, power field-weakening it BL-WRSM II. Moreover, due to dual-stator structure, exhibits improved performance terms high density compared existing single BL-WRSM. By using special winding arrangement achieve sub-harmonic component magnetomotive force, operation is achieved. additional induces voltage harmonic placed on rotor, which then rectified provided DC current field excitation. In order validate effectiveness machine, two-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA) carried out.
